I like this. I remember you at The Hall and taught you I believe. I’ve found a poem by you in The Hall Magazine for 1975-6 called Dreams. I was a friend and colleague of TW. It is interesting to read of your experiences and very sorry to read of your stroke. Best wishes

I remember you. It’s strange you got in touch now because I’ve just at the weekend been to Belsize Park to go to the 60th of Jonathan Spottiswoode, the only other Hall boy I’m still in touch with. We both did history at university - I think history was what you taught?

I was looking at old Hall Magazines and saw your poem and remembered you although I think I only taught you for a year or two. In my first year I taught Geog then changed to History when Tim Thornton left. I remember Spottiswoodes- one went on to run education at The Globe but I’m not sure if that was Jonathan.

I have revisited The Hall for a reunion or two and organised a memorial service for Paddy and Julyan Heazell. I have very happy memories of my 13 years (75-88) at the school having gone for one year initially. I remember so many keen and rewarding pupils who were a joy to teach. I’m 71 now and retired in 2010 and live in Crowborough. Best wishes to you
